Emotions Series
The Emotions series explores inner states through charcoal and pastel portraiture. Each piece is created as a meditative process—allowing touch, patience, and imagination to guide expression. These works invite reflection and presence.

ABOUT

Charcoal • Pastel • Mixed Media
I’m Charice Lavonya, founder of CLav Art Studio — where creativity meets calm. I am an artist and educator creating expressive portrait work in charcoal, pastel, paint, and mixed media.
I began creating at the age of seven, entertaining my great-grandparents with storytelling and eccentric illustrations. What started as play became a lifelong practice.
I create because I am drawn to the process of building something from nothing — slowly, intentionally, and with focus. Working with charcoal and pastels offers a grounding, meditative experience where touch, imagination, and patience shape each piece.
The work does not always unfold exactly as I envision it, and that unpredictability is part of its beauty. The journey matters as much as the result. My work is an invitation into peace, reflection, strength, and emotional honesty — both on the page and within ourselves.
My hope is that through this work — and through the spaces I create for others — you feel invited to reconnect with your own creativity.
CREATIVE OFFERINGS
My work extends beyond finished pieces. I offer reflective art experiences and creative guidance rooted in process, presence, and emotional expression.
Creative Workshops & Facilitation
I facilitate reflective art workshops that invite emotional exploration, expressive freedom, and a process-focused approach to creativity.
Designed for small groups, women-led creative communities, and retreat spaces, these sessions offer a calm, supportive environment to slow down and create without pressure. The focus is on exploration over perfection and creativity over outcome—allowing each participant to engage with their own unique expression.
